Bite: Design for Puppy’s Instinct

Bite by Nayeon Jeon, Heena Kim and Nayoung Kim

Bite is a brand that designs fashion and play products based on dogs’ natural instincts. The aim is to move away from human-centered thinking and create play experiences that reflect the true needs of dogs. Inspired by their identity as hunters, three products were made following their hunting process: Digging Toy, Stalking Wear and Slow Feeder. The toy engages both owners and dogs in a collaborative play experience, guiding them through each stage of the activity. The interaction culminates when the puppy successfully ‚bites‘ its target.

The included cartoons emphasize the brand‘s identity, depicting dogs‘ hunting stages and patterns made from symbols inspired by dogs‘ teeth. The product fully expresses the puppy‘s playful and childlike characteristics through its color and form.
